woman's brown eyes

Have you ever carefully and painstakingly filled in your eyebrows and applied eyeliner and eyeshadow, only to step back from the mirror and wonder how you could have botched it up so badly? Maybe the eyeliner was too thick or your winged ends were uneven. Perhaps your eyebrows came out too dark or thick and looked hideous. Well, we cannot promise a full face of makeup, but we can save you hours per week on filling in brows and applying eyeliner with one of our favorite treatments called microblading!

Microblading Overview

Microblading is a semi-permanent tattooing technique that creates hair-like strokes to fill in eyebrows and to define the eyes. This is accomplished by using a very fine needle that implants featherweight strokes of medical-grade pigment in the epidermis layer of your skin. This procedure is done in two parts.

The first part of treatment involves your initial visit with our highly trained aestheticians who will customize your brows by mapping out your preferred color, shape, and thickness. Once your ideal brow is mapped out, the aesthetician can perform the microblading. The procedure takes 1 to 3 hours to complete. The second part of this procedure takes place 4 to 8 weeks later. At this time the area will be completely healed and the aesthetician can assess the brows and eyeliner and touch up any areas that need extra shaping or fullness.

How Long Does Microblading Last?

Microblading generally takes 10 to 14 days to completely heal. The skin will be sensitive and the eyebrow area will eventually scab and flake off, leaving a beautiful final result. It is important during the healing time to avoid picking at the scabs so as not to remove any of the color in the process.

Once the area heals completely, you will enjoy between 18 and 30 months of gorgeous brows and eyeliner. When the pigment from the procedure begins to noticeably fade, you can return to your aesthetician for a touch-up application. Touch-ups can be scheduled every 6 to 12 months, depending on your skin type and the look you want to achieve. Your aesthetician will recommend when you should return for touch-ups. Keep in mind that regular touch-ups can help you avoid having to repeat the whole microblading procedure and will save time and money in the long run.

A consultation with our aestheticians is the perfect way to see if microblading is right for you. They can answer any of your questions regarding the procedure, the healing process, touch-ups, and cost. This can be a great confidence booster and the beginning of a year of self-care that you so deserve!
