When it comes to just about anything, consistency is the key to success.
When we do things consistently, they become a habit. Usually when things are habitual, we do them without even having to make a decision whether or not to do them in the first place! Sometimes, we decide that things are not successful before we have established a consistent routine. This is true with new products, treatments, exercise, etc. Until you have tried something new for a period of time and in a consistent manner, you can’t decide if it works or not. How do you measure effectiveness if what you are measuring isn’t performed consistently? To truly measure whether something works or not, you should give it at least six months before judging it a success or failure.
Once you establish a routine, the momentum of that routine helps to continue taking steps in the right direction. Like anything else, getting started on something is sometimes very hard—just try picking one (positive!) thing to make a habit of and remember to give it enough time to create consistency and success! This can be as simple as your skincare routine. Washing your face, applying the appropriate serums & products for specific treatment areas and sunscreen/moisturizer are great for your skin and you’ll thank yourself down the road because you’ll look younger, too!
